BHT Supervisor will be contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information to the treatment planning process. BHT Supervisor responsibilities primarily include ensuring patient safety, providing patient interventions, leading psychoeducational groups, supporting patients, monitoring tech staff compliance, assisting in staff scheduling, and participating in ongoing training of tech staff.\n\nEssential Job Functions:\n\nAdheres to all DBH policies and procedures.\n\nConducts self in a manner that represents DBH values.\n\nMaintains a positive and respectful attitude.\n\nProvides exemplary customer service to all patients.\n\nExhibits understanding and respect for cultural and lifestyle diversity.\n\nUnderstand and maintain professional boundaries and professional ethics.\n\nFollows directions as given by all facility leadership.\n\nCollaborating and reviewing quality and safety progress with facility leadership, ensuring alignment with facility KPIs\n\nMaintains confidentiality of patient information and records; and of facility/company proprietary, privileged, and/or confidential information.\n\nFacilitates patient daily needs per the program schedule, including but not limited to: waking/bedtime routines and hygiene, meals/snacks, bathroom safety observations, free time.\n\nAssists Nursing staff with duties as directed, for example: patient supervision, vitals, room searches, patient searches, etc.\n\nRecognizes, responds to, and assists in crisis situations and provides interventions as appropriate.\n\nConsistently reports to work on time and prepared to perform the duties of the position.\n\nAssists in the implementation of individual patient treatment plans per clinical team.\n\nSupports patient during admission and discharge processes. This may include checking in patient belongings, acclimating patient to the program, preparing patient for returning home.\n\nMonitors patient activity and documents any significant patient issues. Completes all shift notes, group notes, and other required documentation by the end of shift.\n\nMaintains and organized and safe environment and performs basic housekeeping duties.\n\nConducts regular facility and grounds checks, advising facility leadership of any irregularities or safety concerns.\n\nFacilitates and leads daily groups as directed by facility leadership if applicable.\n\nAttends all staff meetings and in-service trainings.\n\nCompletes all online training, policy verification, and ensures that their employee HR file is kept up to date.\n\nProvides transportation services including patient transportation/supervision, errands, shopping, admits, outings, etc. (must be pre-qualified to drive a company vehicle).\n\nParticipate in and provide support in the training, scheduling, and supervision of tech staff.\n\nResponsible for obtaining missing employee documentation.\n\nReviews and approves tech staff timecards, requested days off, shift exchange requests.\n\nParticipate in the performance evaluation and disciplinary action of tech employees if applicable.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nEating Disorder Division:\n\nProviding supervision and support to patients during mealtimes requires staff to eat meals and snacks with patients.\n\nMust refrain from comments and actions that directly contradict the CFD Clinical Model and Dietary CARE model.\n\nFamiliarizes and adopts the Philosophy, Mission, Goals, and Objectives of the Center for Discovery treatment programs.\n\nHas basic knowledge of the clinical orientation and interventions used at Center for Discovery.\n\nResidential Treatment Only:\n\nIn states where permissible, passing medicine will be necessary. Training and/or required certification will be provided.\n\nKnowledge, Education & Experience:\n\nBachelor’s Degree preferred\n\nHigh School Diploma (or equivalent) required\n\ntwo or more years experience working within the leadership, management, mental health, substance use or eating disorder field required\n\nValid and unrestricted State Driver’s License\n\nMust obtain and maintain CPI certification within 90 days of hire, training provided\n\nMust obtain and maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid, along with Food Handling/Safety certification within 30 days of hire, training provided\n\nSubstance Use Division: Minimum 1 year sobriety if in recovery\n\nEating Disorder Division: Minimum 1 year recovery from eating disorder if in recovery\n\nSchedule : Thursday.
