Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, Shop Foreman or senior technicians. Intern program runs in conjunction with the John Deere Ag Tech program, incorporating classroom and hands on learning.\n\nCompensation:\n$22 starting for first year\n$24 for second year\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nActively participates in project assignments centered-around service-related activities at the dealership\nWorks with and shadows selected personnel to gain experience in service department\nPerforms basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products\nParticipates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge\nMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products\nFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments\nCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments\nAccounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties\n\nExperience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required\nPursuing AAS Degree in John Deere Tech program\nAbility to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures\nProficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment\nAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes\nProficient oral and written communication skills\nAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly\nValid drivers license is required\nFork lift license preferred\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
