As part of the 3LED group of companies, we combine precision manufacturing with deep engineering expertise to deliver reliable, energy-efficient solutions for commercial, industrial, and specialty lighting applications.Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented, mechanically inclined SMT/PCB Equipment Operator to support our surface mount technology (SMT) line and printed circuit board (PCB) assembly processes. This hands-on role is critical to maintaining high product quality, efficient throughput, and timely customer delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor SMT assembly equipment including stencil printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems.Perform manual assembly tasks including hand soldering, depaneling, and visual inspection.Load and maintain component feeders and ensure accurate inventory usage.Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on SMT equipment.Inspect assembled PCBs for solder quality, alignment, and defects using magnification tools and AOI results.Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve process issues.Document production data, quality checks, and equipment performance.Ensure adherence to ESD, safety, and cleanroom procedures.Qualifications2+ years of experience operating SMT/PCB equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.Familiarity with SMT processes and IPC-A-610 standards.Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work instructions, and schematics.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work independently and as part of a small, focused team.Comfortable with basic computer skills (data entry, interface with machine software).Preferred ExperienceExperience with Yamaha, Mycronic, or similar pick-and-place systems.Familiarity with ISO 9001, lean manufacturing, or quality control systems.Background in LED lighting, electronics, or precision assembly is a plus.Working ConditionsFull-time, on-site position in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility.Standing for extended periods and handling small components.Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.What We OfferCompetitive pay and benefits.Opportunities for growth in a fast-evolving technology company.Collaborative environment with a commitment to quality and innovation.About LEDdynamicsFounded in 2000 and proudly rooted in Vermont, LEDdynamics has grown into a national leader in LED technology and innovation.
