As a firmwareengineer, you will play a crucial role in developing andoptimizingembedded software for our innovative products.\r\nResponsibilities Own firmware subsystems end-to-end, driving technical decisions on architecture, module decomposition, and interface design.\r\nDesign, develop, andmaintainproduction-quality firmware for embedded systems using C.\r\nDebug andoptimizefirmware for performance, reliability, power consumption, and real-time constraints.\r\nDevelop andmaintainautomated test frameworks, unit tests, and hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure.\r\nManage source code using version control systems (e.g., Git) and champion best practices for branching, code review, and release workflows.\r\nDocument system and firmware behaviors, design rationale, and interface specifications for multidisciplinary teams.\r\nCollaborate closely with hardware, systems, and applications engineers to ensure seamless firmware-hardware integration and to influence hardware design where firmware implications exist.\r\nContribute to technical roadmap planning and effort estimation for firmware deliverables.\r\nNecessary Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.\r\n8+ years of professional experience developing firmware in C for embedded systems.\r\nStrong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and their application in resource-constrained embedded environments.\r\nStrongproficiencyin C programming for embedded systems.\r\nDeep knowledge of low-level hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, and GPIO.\r\nProficiencyin debugging embedded systems using tools such as JTAG/SWD debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.\r\nSolid understanding of processor architectures, memory models, and the hardware fundamentals that embedded systems are built on.\r\nAbility to diagnose and resolve complex issues spanning firmware, hardware, and system-level interactions.\r\nStrong knowledge of software design principles including modularity, abstraction, and common design patterns.\r\nExperience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.\r\nPreferred Qualifications Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, ora relatedfield.\r\nExperience with digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms andtheir embeddedimplementation.\r\nExperience designing and tuning control loops (PID, state-space, or similar) in embedded real-time systems.\r\nProficiencyin Python scripting for automation, testing, data analysis, or tooling.\r\nFamiliarity with wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth (BLE), Wi-Fi, or Zigbee.\r\nKnowledge of continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and practices for firmware projects.\r\nExperience with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 26262) or quality-regulated development environments.\r\nFamiliarity with Unix/Linux environments and cross-compilation toolchains.\r\nTrack recordof mentoring engineers or leading small technical teams.\r\nWorking atGuRu We offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our products.
