This is a billable clinician position.The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $38.22 – $57.34. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.Spotlight on PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend | Springfield, OregonAs a member of the Crisis Team, you will meet with patients experiencing a mental health crisis to provide a Mental Health Exam and assessment to help determine appropriateness for inpatient psychiatric referrals and/or community referrals for support. Crisis can look like a lot of things. The crisis team assesses for suicidal ideation, auditory and visual hallucinations, the need for substance use support, and works as a vital role between the patients and accessing mental health support in our community. Our patients present with a wide range of diagnoses and symptoms including but not limited to; suicidal ideation, recent suicide attempts, depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders, substance use concerns and come from all walks of life. As a member of the Crisis Team, you will be presented with the chance to extend patient-centered, trauma-informed care to help assess patients and work with providers in the Emergency Department and on the Medical floors to determine the best disposition available to address the needs of patients experiencing a mental health crisis.Job SummaryCoordinates and oversees the plan of care and service delivery of behavioral health consumers across the continuum of illness; promotes effective utilization and monitoring of health care resources; and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Provide services to consumers with Medicaid.Details of the position:Provides individual, family, group, and multi-family group therapy. Operates under the direct clinical oversight of a licensed clinician.Assesses, develops, implements and monitors a comprehensive plan of care through an interdisciplinary team process in conjunction with the patient and their self-identified natural supports.Evaluates and provides interventions to improve a patient’s cognitive, social, vocational, spiritual, and emotional functioning, utilizing natural and community supports when possible.Provides urgent/crisis evaluations, interventions, and safety planning.Together with consumer and natural supports, identifies key problems, strengths and resources to be addressed in the treatment plan.May provide case management, coordination with other treatment agencies or outside support services, outreach and engagement.Performs other duties as assigned.What you bring:Master's Degree Required: Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field, or CADC III or MAC acceptable in lieu of Masters’ degree.Minimum of 2 years Required: experience in mental health or substance use disorder treatment care setting and Required: Experience in direct care treatment of patients with mental health or substance use conditions Required: Certified Addiction Counselor III eligibility for certification orRequired: Qualified Mental Health Professional andRequired: Upon Hire Basic Life Support SkillsInterpersonal skills to obtain and interpret information appropriate to patients’ needs and age as required for assessment range of treatment, and patient care (Required) Proficiency with DSM-5 diagnoses and best practice treatment interventions for a variety of behavioral health conditions (Required) Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and patient/family centered work environment (Required) Knowledge and adherence to ethical guidelines for behavioral health clinical practice (Required) Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and documenting in electronic medical records (Required) Effective prioritization skills (Required) Department / Location Specific NotesOregon West Network – Crisis/Consult:Responsible for evaluating patients experiencing a mental health crisis to determine appropriate levels of care including psychiatric hospitalization.Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency room and medical floor setting with a multi-disciplinary team.CADC preferred.Strong diagnostic, evaluation, and crisis intervention skills required.PeaceHealth is committed to the overall wellbeing of our caregivers.
