Snow Removal Technician

Duties Operate snow plows, shovels, blowers, and other power tools to remove snow and ice from designated areas Use hand tools and machinery such as excavators when necessary for clearing large or hard-to-reach spaces Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice buildup and enhance safety conditions Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance Assist with landscaping, lawn care, gardening, and general landscape maintenance during off-peak seasons Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris and ensuring pathways are safe for foot traffic Conduct minor repairs or notify maintenance teams for equipment that requires servicing Skills Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot snow removal machinery and power tools Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening practices Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and tree trimming Ability to use hand tools effectively for various outdoor tasks Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticulture principles, and general construction practices Experience with snow plowing operations and ice management strategies Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions with energy and enthusiasm This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to community safety while honing their outdoor maintenance skills.
