The Transmission Construction Representative will provide construction site management for the Transmission Station and/or Line construction projects to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local Regulations, and Client Company standards, programs, drawings, and specifications.Essential FunctionsResponsible for coordinating contractor’s duties and assignments associated with the construction of Transmission Lines or Transmission Station Facilities.\r\nReview the Client Company’s Plans, Drawings, and Specifications for constructability prior to the start of construction and report potential constructability issues.\r\nProvide construction site coordination to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local Regulations, and Company standards, programs, drawings, and specifications.\r\nGenerate standard and ad-hoc construction progress reports as requested by the client.\r\nComputer/Technology skills necessary to interface with Client’s databases\r\nDrawings and Specifications\r\nOutage(s) Management\r\nSafety and Environmental\r\nProvide quality performance feedback on contractors, materials, and equipment.\r\nMaterial Management Duties as they relate to the transmission construction coordination, inspection, receipt, and delivery of material and equipment to the construction site.\r\nInspect and check materials for shortages, timeliness, damages, and correctness. Prepare reports for appropriate corrective actions and coordinate delivery of materials to the job site.\r\nCoordinate required outages with the responsible Operation Center and arrange for or accept Operating Orders from the Dispatching Authority as required.\r\nMaintain construction oversight for OSHA compliance requirements in accordance with the company’s construction compliance oversight program.\r\nProvide estimates as requested to allow authorization of station or line transmission construction work by contract forces, including verification of work performed.\r\nWork and communicate with the entire Project Team to contribute to the successful completion of the project.This description is a general statement of required essential functions performedregularly and continuously. It does not exclude other duties as assigned.QualificationsQualifications :Must have a valid driver's license.\r\nMust currently be eligible to work in the United States of America without sponsorship\r\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management [Construction supervision is a plus]\r\nOr ABET-accredited associate degree in electrical or civil engineering technology and 2years of experience in transmission line work or substation work. [Construction supervision is a plus]\r\nOr High school diploma or GED and 6+ years of construction experience building Electric transmission/Distribution substations and Transmission lines.
