We are calling on a devoted EHS Engineer to join us on this historic quest, bringing an unwavering commitment to safety and excellence in human spaceflight.\nAs a member of our diverse and high-performing team, your expertise in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) will play a critical role in driving our engineering and production activities towards the highest safety standards. You will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations and bolstering our culture of safety at the Space Coast Manufacturing Facility and related sites.\nWe are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!\nOther responsibilities may include:\nLead compliance efforts with OSHA, DOT, NFPA, ANSI, PSM, NEPA, RCRA, SWPPP, SPCC, NPDES and other relevant federal, state, and local safety, health, and environmental regulations.\nMaintain and continuously improve our Health and Safety Manual and emergency response plans.\nConduct safety hazard analyses, manage hazardous waste, and champion incident investigations.\nDesign and implement robust EHS training, ensuring that all employees are equipped for safety.\nInitiate preventative measures for continuous process improvement in safety and industrial hygiene.\nSupervise operations involving cryogenics, ordnance, and other hazardous tasks.\nPerform comprehensive facility inspections and conduct PPE assessments.\nApply analytical skills for technical writing and interpretation of complex safety regulations.\nDrive job hazard analyses and conduct periodic audits to enhance our EHS Programs.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or occupational safety.\nA history of building trust and fostering positive, professional relationships, contributing to our culture of inclusion.\nProficiency with applicable safety and Florida environmental regulations and Process Safety Management methods.\nAbility to effectively communicate and disseminate intricate technical information.\nExperience with EHS induction for new team members.\nCapacity to handle physical duties including lifting, climbing, standing, and working in varying weather conditions.\nFlexibility to work extended hours, shifts, and weekends as necessary.\n4+ years of overall work experience with 2+ years in an operational aerospace, manufacturing, or chemical environment.\nAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.\nMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.\nDesired:\n8+ years of overall work experience\n5+ years in aerospace, manufacturing, or chemical industry settings.\nExpertise with the Life Safety Code (NFPA 101).\nHAZMAT, HAZWOPER, emergency response experience\nASP, CSP, CIH, or CHMM certification.\nApplications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.\nInclusivity Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
