In doing this the Hardware Test Engineer follows established processes to ensure the product is properly tested to the requirements specified. This is a senior level position where work is distinguished by its technical complexity and diversity, requiring minimal direction and no direct supervision.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nIndependently estimate and complete work assignments in a timely manner.\nProvide recommendations and follow established testing processes and procedures.\nResponsible for ensuring that all products meet quality and customer performance standards.\nThe Senior Hardware Test Engineer is responsible for the following:\nDesigns test procedures and assists in the evaluation of test equipment required to perform quality checks\nPrepares recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used from design phase through initial production\nLead in the construction of test fixtures\nProvide training to Production Testing Staff\nLead environmental and electro-magnetic interference qualification testing\nWork effectively with others in a collaborative team environment.\nSome travel may be required.\nCompetency\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies.\nRequired Qualifications\nAn individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully.
