Manage Production work areas (Fabrication or Assembly) and supervise hourly/salary team members to achieve company goals.\r\nUnder the direction of the Production Manager, assists with the following production supervisor responsibilities:\r\nSafetyEnsure Employee safety by ensuring all safety devices are in use, the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is always worn, and safety rules/policies/practices are followed.\r\nReport all accidents / near misses to the Production Manager and Safety representative within 24 hours. Participate in the completion of the accident investigation / report.\r\nEnsure Employees within the assigned production department attend all safety related training events.Supervision and LeadershipProvides supervision to hourly and salary Employees on assigned shift within the assigned department.\r\nManage assigned production department time sheets, vacation scheduling and payroll sign off. Act as back up for time sheets and payroll sign off in the absence of other supervisors as needed.\r\nEnsures compliance to the Employee handbook, Boler Code of Business Conduct, and all other policies and procedures.\r\nConduct or direct daily shift meetings to communicate safety, quality, shift expectations, production levels, delivery performance, overtime, upcoming events, etc.\r\nSupervise daily staffing, output levels, and the production of parts to meet or exceed planned productivity levels.\r\nMotivate, provide clear direction and set expectations for new and existing hourly, salary and contract personnel.\r\nMaintain 5S initiatives within assigned department.\r\nActively act as supervisor on opposite shifts to ensure supervisory coverage as neededTrainingEnsure that all hourly, salary and contract personnel have the required training and tools to meet operational needs.\r\nManage and oversee the training process and associated documentation.\r\nUpdate and maintain work instructions and training guides.\r\nDirects cross training initiatives of the departmentOperationsTeach and champion inventory control techniques through the organization.\r\nParticipate in process improvements, root cause analysis, continuous improvement activity and drive corrective actions within the plant regarding safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost.\r\nSupport shift end reports as they pertain to daily operations .\r\nAssist with implementing and sustaining countermeasure activity.\r\nSupport departmental escalation policy.\r\nWork in conjunction with other Supervisors to fully understand the process and how to provide support when and where needed.\r\nPlan and execute production schedules, coordinates planned equipment downtime, and supervisor daily manpower requirements per demand.\r\nMonitor quality using visual techniques, required in process inspection checks, use of measurement tools, PPM analysis, etc\r\nMonitors process time, MRP report output, raw material usage, equipment performance / PM compliance, in process inspections and submits reports as required.\r\nOther duties as assigned.High School diploma or GED required\r\nMinimum Qualifications\r\nOne year of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment required\r\nDemonstrated leadership skills required\r\nSupervisory experience preferred\r\nExcellent communication skills\r\nResults-oriented individual possessing analytical skills and demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize projects.\r\nDemonstrated ability to execute multiple responsibilities, projects, and activities\r\nDemonstrated ability to lead a group of people towards common goals\r\nComputer literate using windows-based software\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nStanding and walking for extended periods of time\r\nComputer work\r\nOccasional lifting, bending, twisting, turning, push/pull activities\r\nEnvironmental Conditions\r\nExposure to manufacturing and warehouse environments\r\nBehavioral Traits\r\nAccountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.\r\nDetail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.\r\nEnergetic - Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.\r\nGoal Oriented - Ability to focus on a goal and obtain a pre-determined result.\r\nWorking Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.\r\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
