Senior Data Engineer - Azure & Databricks (Remote)

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in Azure and Databricks to help design, build, and scale a modern cloud data platform. You will play a key role in establishing a high-performing engineering foundation that supports analytics, operational reporting, and future AI/ML initiatives across a complex global organisation. This is a hands-on, engineering-focused role, with an emphasis on developing robust data pipelines, modelling data using Lakehouse and Medallion architectures, and ensuring the platform is secure, well-governed, and production-ready. Responsibilities include: Building and optimising data pipelines using Databricks, Delta Lake, DLT, and Synapse Developing ingestion and transformation workflows across APIs, databases, and SaaS platforms Implementing data quality, governance, and performance best practices Enabling analytics and AI/ML teams with trusted, well-structured data Contributing to CI/CD processes, DevOps practices, and platform standards Mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams Experience required: 5+ years' experience in cloud data engineering Strong expertise in Azure and Databricks Advanced Python and SQL skills Experience with Lakehouse architecture, CI/CD, and data governance This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking engineering culture, where you will help shape and scale a modern, cloud-first data and AI platform.
