Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Job DetailsDescriptionMaintenance TechnicianThis is the beginning level. Will perform the following listed duties and responsibilities, may have independence on some duties while close supervision on others. The employee works in a learning capacity performing a range of maintenance /mechanic duties while receiving close supervision. Duties include but are not limited to set-ups, bearings and minor machine repairs, some electrical (photo eyes/solenoids/etc.). Also has knowledge of greasing, lubing, cleaning, basic plumbing and carpentry, and able to do general building maintenance.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education And/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentFacilities experience is preferredPossession of forklift operation certificationKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesKnowledge of OSHA requirements of lock-out/tag-out safety proceduresKnowledge of mechanical equipment operationsExcellent troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skills when dealing with othersAbility to read, write and understand governmental regulations and procedures and construction blueprints and schematicsAbility to perform simple mathematical calculationsAbility to frequently lift and carry objects weighing one to seventy-five pounds or varying sizes and shapes a distance of one to one hundred feetAbility to lift up to one hundred poundsAbility to operate a forklift safelyAbility to perform squatting, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, kneeling, or stoopingAbility to operate hand and power toolsAble to work weekends and holidays.
