Ideal candidate will have reliable attendance and a strong willingness to learn about mechanics. Applicant will work/train out of the Perry, IL location but will eventually primarily work out in the field on agriculture and application equipment in the Perry/Winchester/White Hall areas.\n\nResponsibilities:\nLearns and performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment\nParticipates in company provided training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge\nLearns knowledge of John Deere and competitive products\nMaintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment\nMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion\nFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments\nCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments\nAccounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nBasic diesel mechanic experience along with a desire to learn about application equipment is required\nAbility to perform basic repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures\nProficient oral and written communication skills\nAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes\nAbility to use computer applications\nAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred\nValid driver’s license required along with a good driving record\nMust maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment\nMust have reliable attendance\nAbility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays\n\nFull-Time Benefit Packages:\nPaid Holidays & Vacation Time\nHealth, Vision, & Dental Insurance\nLife Insurance\n401K Plan with Company Match\nRoutine Performance & Pay Reviews\nFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\nSafety Equipment Allowance\nCompany Provided Uniforms\nAll benefits subject to change.\n\nPay Information:\n\nThe hourly pay range for this position is $17 to $22.
