Machine Operator and Assembler (Night Shift)

Job Summary: A Machine operator and Assembler will be working with a team to load, polish, protect and plumb fuel tanks as they flow through the building. Duties/Responsibilities: · Identify tanks that require polishing, remove them from the racks and load them into the polish lineup. · Inspect, start-up, and operate various machines · Install protective hardware before tanks are polished. · Ensure that labels and identifying paperwork stay with their respective tanks. · Apply protective wrap to polished tanks and load them back into their home position. · Install fuel tank fittings and accessories according to the supplied build sheet. · Inspect tanks and plumbing for any defects. · Help the team perform routine cleaning and maintenance. · Informs supervisors of supplies needed for polishing, plumbing, cleaning, and maintenance. · Clean up at the end of each shift. · Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: · Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential quality issues are not overlooked. · Ability to read and install parts according to supplied diagrams. · Ability to use hand tools and power tools. · Excellent organizational and time management skills. Education and Experience: · High school diploma or equivalent required. Physical Requirements: · Prolonged periods standing and walking. · Must be physically able bend down to pick up objects. · Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.
