The TDI site in Dayton, OH is a part of Unison, a GE Aerospace Company. Unison is uniquely positioned to introduce the next-gen Air Turbine Starter for the CMF56-7B fleet. At the TDI site, Unison also produces Surface Coolers and Bellows to support the aerospace industry.\nRole Overview:\nBe proficient and perform CMO operations in assigned cell\nUse pneumatic tools, hand tools and calibrated gauges to perform work\nOperate machine(s) in a prescribed safe manner\nPerform daily preventative maintenance\nVerify calibration\nMaintain eQuals requirements\nUse standards shop measuring devices (calipers and micrometers)\nBasic housekeeping of cell (5S)\nReview, understand and follow work instructions, required specifications and blue prints to perform manufacturing operations.\nEnsure all company paperwork is filled-out accurately\nFully understands blueprints\nIdentify revision levels\nProduce error free products\nMeet production goals\nCross train\nWork under general direction with minimal coaching in a team environment\nWork to established Lean Manufacturing guidelines\nUnderstand safety requirements within assigned area and operate within the company safety guidelines.\nBasic understanding of processes in one area within your home cell\nKeeps team informed of work progress, timelines, and issues\nWill also perform other duties as assigned\nThe Ideal Candidate:\nPerform essential duties and responsibilities in service cells which includes working with a variety of computerized/manual machines and manufacturing operations\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or General education Degree (GED)\n6 months of manufacturing related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nThis role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior assembly and/or disassembly experience; prior machine operating experience\nExperience with manual or automated welding process\nExperience using calipers, micrometers and other gages used to perform inspection.\nEducation or experience in programming and operations in programmable controllers.\nPC experience in use of email, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and Word.\nWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and a cellular work environment.\nAbility/prior experience reading and understanding routers and process instructions\nTube bending experience\nCVP in Hydro and/or Boroscope\nKnowledge of swage, shrink processes\nStrong attention to detail\nExcellent customer service to co-workers, customers, and vendors; works collaboratively and respects all others\nEmbraces ambiguity and engages others in idea generation\nActively participates and support a team environment\nAdditional Information:\nWages $22.50 per hour\nOccasionally, the business requires mandatory overtime. Must be able to work overtime, when required\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand at least 6 to 8 hours a day.\nMust be able to work with upper body extremities.\nMust be able to walk, sit, or stoop on a regular basis.\nMust be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds on a frequent basis. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds on occasion.
