The Little Love Notes, LLC (LLN) is a certified Mental Health agency established in March 2021. We are an organization that provides direct mental health, and community support services to children, adolescents, and adult clients in outpatient settings in Maryland. We offer Psychiatry, Counseling, and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs (PRP). We aim to provide convenient, high-quality rehabilitation services to clients within Anne Arundel, Prince George’s, and the surrounding counties. Our professional staff focuses on building hope in a positive and possible future, symptom management, coping strategies, people skills, job training, life skills, and school skills to build readiness, vocational goal setting, wellness planning, problem-solving, socialization skills, and therapeutic creative expression.

JOB SUMMARY
Little Love Notes in Crofton, MD is hiring for a Medical Director. The Medical Director is responsible for completing medical and psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and assessments of clients. Prescribe medications to treat mental, emotional, and/or behavioral disorders. Collaborate with psychotherapists, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and the progress of clients.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-12pm or 2pm-6pm. (Occasional Saturdays)
MEDICAL DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Service Delivery: Performs all functions as a physician in providing direct care to patients; including, but not limited to, the examination of patient to determine general physical and psychiatric condition, the recording of information about patients’ medical history, ordering various tests and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition, and the prescribing of medications,
Diagnostic assessments: all fields are completed, and are accurate and diagnostic assessment criteria is completed
Medication assessments: all fields are completed, and are accurate, and the medication prescribed is appropriate based on the assessment.
Ensure that all minor clients have a comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment that addresses somatic concerns compliant with COMAR regulations.
Documentation: Ensures that all requirements of the electronic medical record are met, including but not limited to, documentation of patient encounters,
meaningful use, patient self-management goals and review of patient laboratory data.
Treatment Plan: Ensures medications prescribed are in line with the goals identified on the individual's treatment plan
Supervision
Ensure that standards are met for all clinical staff supervision requirements.
Evaluation
Ensure compliance of treatment documentation, outcomes, and treatment tracking reports for the OMHC.
Utilize individualized treatment tracking outcomes when assessing clinical service delivery and providing supervision.
Review and Conduct Performance Evaluations of Clinical Staff as appropriate.
Meetings
Facilitate group and individual supervision meetings with clinical staff as necessary.
Attend OMHC Clinical Team Meetings.
Training
Ensure the facilitation of training focused on clinical documentation and clinical service delivery skills to OMHC clinical staff.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Demonstrated ability to examine, evaluate, diagnose and treat psychiatric and mental illnesses. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary treatment teams ensuring development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment.
Skilled in the use of technology, software, and resources to assist and aid in the course of daily medical responsibilities.
Skilled in documenting medical records and articulating and interacting with patients and others regarding clinical/administrative concerns or issues.
Education and experience:
Must hold a Master’s Degree, or higher, and must be a licensed psychiatrist or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in good standing in the State of Maryland.
OTHER ITEMS:
Candidates must be willing to complete a federal and state background check upon hire.
Candidates must possess a current driver's license and have reliable transportation.
Candidates must be able to provide proof of auto insurance, vehicle registration, and a certified copy of their driving record.
Agency requirement for all employees/contractors whether or not they transport clients.
BENEFITS:
Rate of pay starts at $85 per hour with chances of a raise within 6 months.
Position hours are M-F from 8am-12pm or 2pm-6pm. (Occasional Saturdays)
