This role offers the opportunity to contribute to major nuclear and DOE-related projects where precision, safety, and technical excellence are paramount.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform advanced structural analysis and design for concrete and steel systems used in nuclear and DOE facility environments.\n\nConduct seismic evaluations, structural modeling, and load-path verification for critical structures and components.\n\nPrepare calculation packages, design documentation, and technical reports to support regulatory and safety requirements.\n\nCollaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure compliance with nuclear codes, standards, and project specifications.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; MS and PE license strongly preferred.\n\n7+ years of professional experience in structural engineering, ideally within nuclear, DOE, or similarly regulated industries.\n\nProficiency with structural analysis and seismic modeling.\n\nStrong knowledge of steel and concrete design principles and relevant industry codes.\n\nPrevious experience performing seismic studies and dynamic structural evaluations.\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, defensible engineering documentation.\n\nPE License preferred\n\nAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.\n\nDesign Hire is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Aff…?
