Our client is a nationally recognized public sector consultancy — five consecutive years on the Inc. 5000 — that modernizes technology and business operations for state and local governments across the United States.This is an exciting opportunity to support a high-impact enterprise ERP/HCM transformation initiative, helping establish data governance foundations, improve data quality, and prepare critical datasets for migration into modern platforms including Workday.About Our ClientOur client is a mission-driven management consulting firm specializing in ERP modernization, permitting & licensing, budgeting, HR, data, and AI adoption for public sector organizations. They operate with a proprietary AI-accelerated delivery framework and are deeply committed to diversity, inclusion, and expanding opportunity as a minority-owned, MBE/DBE-certified firm.The RoleData Governance & Strategy Establish foundational frameworks, ownership structures, and stewardship models. Support development of governance charters, operating models, and policies across key enterprise data domains including finance, HR, procurement, vendors, assets, and projects.Data Discovery & Cataloging Conduct enterprise data discovery and system inventories across ERP, HCM, and operational systems. Build and maintain a data catalog documenting critical data elements and definitions. Map data flows and system integrations.Data Quality & Assessment Profile and assess quality issues — duplicates, missing values, formatting gaps — and evaluate governance maturity. Facilitate workshops to identify high-value data use cases and priority domains for ERP transformation.ERP / Workday Readiness Support data preparation for ERP/HCM implementations including Workday. Define data standards, naming conventions, validation rules, and reference data structures. Identify high-risk datasets and prioritize cleansing efforts.Cleansing & Migration Preparation Develop data cleansing strategies and remediation plans across critical data domains. Collaborate with implementation partners on data extraction, transformation, and integration activities.Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with business leaders, project teams, and ERP implementation partners. Facilitate cross-functional workshops to identify data priorities, governance needs, and reporting requirements. Support adoption through training and change management.What We're Looking ForRequired:Experience supporting ERP, HCM, or other enterprise system implementationsBackground in data governance, data management, or data migration initiativesStrong understanding of data quality management, data standards, and governance practicesExperience working with cross-functional business stakeholdersStrong analytical, documentation, and communication skillsPreferred:Experience with Workday data structures or Workday implementationsFamiliarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similarExperience with data cataloging, metadata management, or data quality toolsBackground supporting public sector or large enterprise transformation programsEngagement DetailsDuration: ~6–9 months with potential for extensionEffort: ~20–30 hours per weekFocus: Data governance foundation and ERP/HCM data readiness
