Job DescriptionInterventional Radiology (IR) RN - Registered Nurse (Day Shift)Location: Springfield, IL (On-site)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (5x8s) | On-call required | Floating requiredPay: $45-$55/hrJob SummaryNow hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN (IR RN) for a hospital-based Medical Imaging team in Springfield, IL. This Interventional Radiology Nurse position supports IR procedures and provides high-quality pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care. Ideal for an IR Registered Nurse who is flexible, calm under pressure, and comfortable with call and floating.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients in a procedural settingComplete pre-procedure assessments, patient prep, IV/medications per orders, and patient educationMonitor patients during and after procedures; recognize complications and escalate appropriatelyAssist physicians/techs during IR cases while maintaining safety and sterile precautionsSupport recovery, discharge readiness, and post-procedure instructionsDocument accurately in Cerner (assessments, interventions, outcomes)Float to other areas as assigned and participate in required on-call rotationFollow facility policies for safety, infection prevention, and quality standards QualificationsActive Illinois RN license (required)Current RN credentials (required)Recent Interventional Radiology RN / IR Nurse experience (required)Able to meet on-call and floating requirements (required)Cerner charting experience (preferred)Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills Apply today if you're an IR RN seeking a steady day-shift assignment with procedural nursing focus in Springfield, IL.
