This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both structural engineering analysis and production drafting in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.\nThe ideal candidate will be comfortable performing structural analysis, developing Revit structural models, preparing structural construction documents, and coordinating with architects, engineers, and other design professionals.\nThis position is offered as a 1099 subcontractor with the opportunity for long-term collaboration as the company continues to grow.\nResponsibilities\nPerform structural analysis using RAM Structural System or similar structural analysis software.\nDevelop structural Revit models for commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use projects.\nPrepare structural framing plans, details, schedules, sections, and permit-ready construction documents.\nAssist with foundation, steel, wood, concrete, and masonry structural design.\nCoordinate structural drawings with architectural, civil, MEP, and other consultants.\nRevise drawings based on engineering markups and project review comments.\nAssist with existing building evaluations and field verification projects.\nParticipate in project coordination meetings and client meetings as required.\nMaintain organized project files and follow ATDG drafting standards.\nSupport multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting project deadlines.\nPerform additional structural design and technical production tasks as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field preferred.\nExperience using Autodesk Revit.\nExperience with RAM Structural System or comparable structural analysis software.\nWorking knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structural systems.\nAbility to read and interpret architectural and structural construction documents.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary design team.\nPreferred Qualifications\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a plus.\nExperience with RISA, RAM Elements, Enercalc, STAAD, or similar software.\nExperience preparing permit-ready structural drawing packages.\nExperience coordinating with architects, contractors, and consulting engineers.\nExperience producing structural details and construction documentation.\nCompensation\n$25.00–$35.00 per hour\n1099 Independent Contractor\nCompensation based on experience, technical ability, and software proficiency.\nWhy Join ATDG?\nAvail Technical Design Group is a growing multidisciplinary design firm specializing in structural engineering, building design, code compliance, field verification, permit development, and construction documentation.
