In this role, you’ll assist installation technicians in preparing sites for fiber line installation. This is a physically active, outdoor position—perfect for those who enjoy hands-on work and seeing the results of their efforts every day. Location\nThis position supports service areas across our expanding Missouri markets. Technicians are based out of our Columbia Missouri location. Key Responsibilities:\nPrepare and optimize sites for fiber drop installation\nLoad, unload, and maintain tools and equipment\nDig trenches and operate machinery such as a vibratory plow\nAssist with traffic control when working in public rights-of-way\nKeep equipment clean and job sites organized\nFollow all safety procedures and company standards\nMaintain reliable attendance and a clean driving record\nPerform other duties as assigned\nDesired Attributes:\nStrong time-management and teamwork skills\nAttention to safety and detail\nFlexibility and a positive attitude\nExperience Required:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent.\nPrevious labor or construction experience\nAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs\nComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions\nBasic knowledge of construction or utility work (preferred)\nWhy work at Socket:\nSocket offers a culture where employee strengths are highlighted and recognized.
