This role is responsible for maintaining controlled documentation that supports aerospace and defense manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer, and internal quality management system requirements. This position supports engineering, quality, manufacturing, and operations by managing document revisions, records, and controlled documentation throughout the document lifecycle.\n\nMaintain controlled documents in accordance with company document control procedures and quality management system requirements.\nProcess engineering change requests (ECRs), engineering change orders (ECOs), document revisions, and controlled document releases.\nCreate, update, route, distribute, and archive-controlled documents using electronic document management systems.\nMaintain document logs, databases, and revision histories while ensuring document accuracy and traceability.\nReview documents for formatting, completeness, revision accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.\nEnsure manufacturing personnel have access to current revisions of work instructions, drawings, travelers, procedures, and specifications.\nPerform electronic and hard-copy document scanning, reproduction, retention, and archival activities.\nSupport document retrieval for internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.\nCoordinate document approvals with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations.\nMaintain confidentiality of proprietary and export-controlled information.\nOrder supplies and support document reproduction equipment as needed.\nIdentify document discrepancies and assist with corrective actions and continuous process improvements.\n\nQualifications\n1–3 years of document control, quality documentation, engineering support, or related experience.\nStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).\nAbility to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating across departments.\nStrong problem-solving and time management skills.\nAerospace, defense, semiconductor, or other regulated manufacturing experience.\nExperience supporting CNC manufacturing operations.\nExperience with CMMS, AS9100, ISO 9001, and Lean Manufacturing.\nPreferred Technical Skills\nExperience with ERP, PLM, or document management systems (Agile PLM preferred).\nExperience with ERP systems such as GSS, preferred, Epicor, Oracle, SAP, or similar manufacturing software.\nFamiliarity with Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Engineering Change Requests (ECR), and revision control processes.\nKnowledge of document retention and records management practices\nPreferred Experience\n1–3 years of document control, quality documentation, engineering support, or related experience.\nExperience in aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.\nExperience supporting CNC machining or precision manufacturing operations.\nWorking knowledge of:\nAS9100 Quality Management Systems\nISO 9001\nConfiguration Management principles\nLean Manufacturing concepts\nITAR-controlled environments (preferred)\nEducation\nVocational or technical training\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n1-3 years document control support or related work experience\nWork Environment\nManufacturing environment setting has some exposure to noise, dust, coolants, and temperature variations..\nRequired use of personal protective equipment (PPE).\nWork performed in accordance with AS9100, ISO9001:2015, NADCAP requirements (as appliable), and company quality standards\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.\nAbility to perform repetitive hand movements and operate machine controls.\nAbility to visually inspect parts and read precision measuring instruments.\nITAR ONLY\nThe business site where this position is located is an ITAR-compliant operation.
