This role is ideal for an early-career engineer eager to grow technical depth and contribute to scalable, reliable services in a mission-driven environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers who deliver production grade models into our SaaS platform in a highly regulated environment. Your responsibility will be to build and train models, deploy model pipelines, and implement a variety of algorithms to extract insights from unstructured data. If needed, you will also troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to resolve issues. Ideally, we would love someone with experience in a startup or small company, but if not, willingness to wear a lot of hats and a self-starter is great too.\n\nAs a Data Scientist at Authenticx, your responsibilities will include:\nUtilizing Python, SQL, and machine learning technologies to perform conversational analytics.\nAnalyzing structured and unstructured data and building predictive models using a variety of approaches.\nSearching through large data sets and transforming data to make it more appropriate for analysis\nCreating reports and presentations for business uses\nDocument and maintain codebase standards, contributing to ongoing quality and reliability improvements.\nKey Metrics\nDelivery of assigned feature work on time and within quality standards.\nConsistent adherence to code review and documentation standards.\nResolution of assigned defects and production issues within established SLAs.\nContribution to overall system reliability, uptime, and performance goals.\nDemonstrated growth in technical proficiency and cross-team collaboration.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nProficiency with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-Learn, Spacy, SciPy, etc...)\nStrong knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Audio Signal Processing\nExperience with a deep learning framework (TensorFlow, Pytorch, etc..) and deep learning architectures (RNNs, CNNs, Transformers, etc...)\nExperience with fine-tuning transformers and relevant libraries (Transformers, Unsloth, vLLM, TRL)\nStrong mathematics skills (e.g., Linear Algebra, Statistics)\nAdvanced ability to perform exploratory data analysis and to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way\nExperience with SQL, databases, and other data management tools\nAbility to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds\nComfortable interacting with executive level leaders\nStrong communication skills and eagerness to learn in a collaborative, fast-paced SaaS environment.\nInternal Motivation and Intellectual Curiosity to uncover the answers to unknowns\nB.S. in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics (or equivalent practical experience).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer\nSoftware-as-a-service (SaaS) and/or healthcare industry experience\nExperience with cloud technologies a plus (Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes)\nExperience with the full life cycle of model development.
