valued.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\nSchedule and coordinate shared equipment and resources.\nCoordinate and oversee the implementation of plans to attain departmental goals.\nReview jobs, including checking blueprints, visiting work sites, prioritizing jobs, and ensuring that the necessary material and equipment are available to complete the job.\nMeet contractors and municipalities, including attending meetings or job sites, going over utility conflicts/changes in contractor plans, and scheduling start dates.\nCoordinate activities with other departments or other operations supervisors to ensure that work is completed in the most efficient manner possible.\nAssist the Service Administrator in the preparation and implementation of the department’s business plan for the current and upcoming fiscal years.\nPrepare and coordinate all safety activities for the region.\nReview and complete various types of paperwork, such as absence reports, safety reports, service tickets, weekly manpower reports, etc.\nMonitor crew performance to ensure job performance levels are in line with business unit objectives.\nSchedule all training (OQ, Fire, Hearing, Halt, Respirator, etc.) for employees.\nObserve and evaluate new employees.\nEnsure employee timesheets, expense reports, and other routine submissions are completed in a timely and accurate manner.\nOversee the implementation of plans to ensure the health and safety of all employees in the region.\nVisit crews and technicians to check on the progress of jobs and that all safety standards are being followed.\nAssist in the management of employee issues, including assisting in the grievance procedure, filling temporary and permanent job vacancies, and disciplining employees.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nEssential Characteristics\nAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.\nAbility to adapt to a fast-moving and changing culture\nStrong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people.\nAbility to work independently and manage time effectively in order to meet individual goals and deadlines.\nAbility to Responsibilities\nResponsible for direct management of up to 30 contract employees.\nSupport and develop their team in order to improve their level of operational and customer service skills to ensure the safe operation of the distribution system and to continually improve the level of customer service that we provide.\nResponsible for continually motivating the members of the team to improve the level of safety awareness to achieve success with all the business unit and corporate safety goals and initiatives.\nRequired Education (certifications, licenses)\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent, required.\nValid Missouri Class E License required or the issuing state’s equivalent and the ability to drive safely and accident free, required.\nRequired knowledge, skill and abilities\n2 years of field experience in the performance of physical duties is preferred.\nKnowledge of policies, procedures, standards and OQ requirements.\nKnowledge of human resources, collective bargaining agreement and personnel procedures.\nPhysical demands, environment and schedule\n\nA mix of normal office conditions, outdoors exposed to all weather conditions, in construction areas with
