The Controller owns MVP's accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, and external audit relationship, and serves as the primary technical accounting partner to the Chief of Staff & Head of Finance. This role is responsible for the integrity of the general ledger. This position will take direction with general supervision from the Chief of Staff & Head of Finance and requires interaction with all levels of the organization.\r\nJob Responsibilities: Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across all divisions, ensuring GL accuracy and timely delivery of financial statements.\r\nAssist in preparing and managing management of annual budgets and monthly forecasts\r\nMaintain and enforce the chart of accounts, account reconciliation cadence, and journal entry approval controls within Epicor.\r\nMonitor, analyze and control production costs, inventory valuation, and production variances weekly to perform necessary adjustments and improve profitability prior to month-end\r\nCollaborate with operations to optimize resource allocation, reduce costs, and improve processes\r\nReconcile balance sheet positions monthly, prepare, review and post journal entries daily as required\r\nEstablish, maintain and enforce robust internal controls to ensure financial integrity\r\nProcess operational CapEx requests, track spending and capitalization of assets as required\r\nFinance lead for annual physical inventory and monthly cycle counts; work with the operational resources responsible for these processes to ensure timely and accurate counts\r\nPerforms annual cost roll and inventory revaluation. Works with purchasing and operations management to enhance accuracy of cost components\r\nLiaison for annual review and tax preparation for US and Canada\r\nMaintain the corporate compliance calendar (registered agent, business licenses, franchise filings) and ensure no lapses in entity good standing.\r\nManage, train, and develop accounting staff.\r\nRequirements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CMA preferred\r\nStrong knowledge of GAAP and manufacturing accounting principles\r\n5+ years experience in manufacturing and operational accounting\r\nExcellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills\r\nProficiency with accounting software and ERP systems\r\nPhysical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.\r\nOther physical activity may include standing, climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, and frequent use of hands and fingers\r\nMagnum Venus Products, Inc. is committed to compliance with its obligations under all applicable state and federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination.
