In this role you would be responsible for helping to develop and maintain manual functional/user-acceptance tests to assess software product development. You will work closely with the development and field operations teams to evaluate new and existing features, as well as identify and examine defects\n\nThe selected candidate will be required to work onsite in our Arlington, VA or Herndon, VA office.\n\n Responsibilities Include:\n\nPerforms manual software product testing through web-based applications and supporting tools and investigates possible causes of problems.\nDevelops and executes functional, end-to-end, regression, and user-acceptance tests in manual test environments.\nAssists with developing and maintaining test cases, test procedures, and test documentation.\nDetects, reproduces, troubleshoots, and documents software defects and feature requests with clear steps to reproduce and expected versus actual results.\nWorks closely with developers and other members of the testing team to investigate defects and determine appropriate resolutions.\nUses browser developer tools, logs, command-line utilities, and other diagnostic tools to investigate application behavior.\nParticipates in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, refinement, stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospectives.\nLearns and applies basic scripting concepts using languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Bash to support testing and troubleshooting activities.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nBachelors of Science Degree or equivalent work experience\n2+ year of experience with Atlassian products\nDemonstrates basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, and problem solving\nMust be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility\n\nNice to Have:\n\nExperience with testing applications involving maps, geospatial data, or geospatial libraries such as OpenLayers or CesiumJS.\nFamiliarity with automated testing frameworks such as Cucumber/Gherkin or similar BDD tools.\nMilitary or commercial networking experience\nFamiliarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, or common network troubleshooting tools.\nFamiliarity with Selenium\nFamiliarity with programming in Java TestNG and Maven\n\nSecurity Clearance:\n\nEligibility to obtain a government clearance if required/needed.\n\n#LI-MS1\n\nLooking for other great opportunities?
