Network Engineer (Tier 2)

Job DescriptionTier 2 Network EngineerWe are seeking a Tier 2 Network Engineer to support network lifecycle management across a large-scale retail environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the health, accuracy, and reliability of network infrastructure through device transitions, incident resolution, and inventory management within the Meraki Dashboard.You will work closely with field operations, vendors, and store locations to ensure timely resolution of network issues and successful lifecycle management of network devices. Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical end users are essential to success in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Monitoring & TroubleshootingMonitor and triage network alerts and incidentsResolve intermediate-level issues related to network hardwarePerform troubleshooting across network devices and environmentsConfiguration & Device ManagementConduct configuration reviews for new and existing devicesValidate template assignments and update configurations as neededVerify proper configuration of newly deployed devicesNetwork Lifecycle SupportSupport lifecycle activities including device replacement and decommissioningEnsure outdated devices are properly removed from systems and dashboardsAssist with updates to network topology and environment changesDocumentation & ReportingMaintain network diagrams, standards, and procedural documentationProvide detailed progress reporting on lifecycle activitiesEnsure accurate tracking of network inventory and device statusField & Stakeholder SupportProvide direct support to store managers and field teams during incidentsCommunicate technical issues clearly to non-technical audiencesCoordinate with vendors and deployment partners to resolve issuesProject & Process SupportSupport lifecycle activities and operational processes tied to network environmentsAssist with coordination of deployment and transition effortsFollow established standards and workflowsRequired SkillsMeraki and Meraki DashboardNetwork troubleshootingNetwork lifecycle supportCustomer support and end-user communicationDocumentation and reportingProject coordinationExperience LevelIntermediateJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodlettsville, TN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job\n classification and length of employment.
