Patient Access Rep
DescriptionWe are looking for a Patient Access Rep to support front-end registration and admission activities for a healthcare setting in Palo Alto, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys helping patients, managing administrative details accurately, and delivering strong service in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will assist with intake documentation, payment collection, insurance verification support, and routine patient questions while maintaining compliance and productivity standards.Responsibilities:- Complete patient registration and admission tasks with accuracy, ensuring records and supporting documents are properly entered and maintained.- Collect point-of-service payments securely and document transactions in accordance with billing and compliance expectations.- Review available insurance information and other financial resources to help support appropriate coverage and payment processing.- Respond to routine patient questions and concerns with professionalism, resolving straightforward issues and escalating complex matters when needed.- Prepare and obtain required forms and documentation to support admission, billing, and regulatory requirements.- Develop working knowledge of common insurance plans, coverage guidelines, and patient access procedures used in daily operations.- Track individual productivity goals and key performance measures while following departmental priorities and service standards.- Support patient access operations across assigned functional areas as business needs require during rotating shifts.This facility is open 24/7 so you will need to be flexible on schedulingShifts may vary:Morning shifts: 0700-0930Afternoon shifts: 1200-1300Evening shifts: 1700 - 1900And weekend availability is preferred.RequirementsExperience Qualifications- One (1) year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Language: Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish).- HS Diploma/GED required- Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.- Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.- Knowledge of Medical Terminology such as Medicare, Medi-Cal, Workers Comp, Managed Care (HMO, PPO, POS, etc.), Children's Health Programs (CCS, GHPP, Healthy Families, etc.).TalentMatchRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
