The Quality Process Engineer (Machining) is responsible for ensuringthe highest level of quality throughout assigned manufacturing processesby owning and maintaining Operational Inspection Plans. This role ishighly collaborative, working across Engineering, Quality, andProduction teams to develop robust manufacturing and inspectionmethodologies that align with technical data package (TDP) requirementsand support production efficiency and compliance. This role is focusedon the quality related aspects of machining processes. DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES This position may participate in one or more of thefollowing duties as directed by supervision or management. Participatein Engineering planning meetings to gain a thorough understanding ofproject requirements and timelines. Interpret and ensure fullintegration of all Technical Data Package (TDP) requirements intoinspection planning and quality assurance activities. Partner withManufacturing Process Engineers to develop robust and efficientmanufacturing and inspection processes. Identify, determine, and acquirerequired fixturing, tools, and gages to support inspection andproduction needs. Collaborate with CMM Programmers to define items suchas the following: Datum establishment and fitting algorithms Methods ofconstraint and part holding Scanning or probing strategies Featuressuitable for automated inspection Work with Quality Technicians andMachinists to define and implement manual inspection methodologies. Leadthe development and documentation of inspection plans for first articleand in-process inspections in collaboration with Manufacturing ProcessEngineers and CMM Programmers.
