This will be done by improving the levels of safety awareness, regulatory compliance and security, CI initiatives, including IPS, and savings through the leadership of strong involvement, heighten awareness, accountability, best practices, and analytics.\nCore Responsibilities:\nLead the site environmental/sustainability, health, safety and security (EHSS) process including the local industrial hygiene program including but not limited to respiratory protection, bloodborne pathogen, hearing conservation and OSHA recordability of occupational injuries and illnesses.\nEnsure Regulatory and Ingredion compliance with all applicable standards, procedures and best working practices including, but not limited to OSHA, NFPA, EPA, Illinois DNR and Site Security.\nProvide leadership in Incident and Injury investigations and root cause analysis.\nManage site environmental compliance working with plant and community stakeholders as required.\nTrain employees as needed and required in all matters of EHSS. Act as site safety team leader.\nDrive the EHSS, Continuous Improvement (CI) and Ingredion Performance System (IPS) initiatives and activities to meet short- and long-term goals.\nAccountable for data, reporting and auditing of EHSS, CI and IPS metrics.\nWork with Continuous Improvement Manager to drive Plant KPI performance and IPS standards.\nQualified candidates will have:\nBachelor’s degree in an industrial health or related science field preferred or the equivalent EHSS experience with a minimum high school diploma.\nExperience in safety, health, and environmental management in a manufacturing environment.\nCertified Safety Professional (CSP) designation, preferred.\nDemonstrated investigation techniques to find root cause and proper corrective actions.\nCapability to understand the explicit details of all applicable regulatory requirements and what is required to maintain full compliance.\nExperience using Lean Six Sigma techniques, to support operational objectives through improved processes, desirable.\nAbility to read, write, analyze and interpret technical procedures and standards.\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Use of Power BI, a plus.\nAbility to build trust and confidence on all levels within the Ingredion organization and local site.\nDemonstrated ability to effect change through persuasion and good communication, and maintain effective working relationships across the facility\nDemonstrated strong presentation skills.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
