{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"2e472645fb7ce6fefb6dbfda","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/2e472645fb7ce6fefb6dbfda","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/2e472645fb7ce6fefb6dbfda","title":"Tooling Engineer","description":"MUST HAVE\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field OR 8 years of equivalent experience.\nExperience in CAD i.e.: AutoCAD, Pro E, Solid Works.\nJourneyman Tool and Die experience\nDie Design experience\nMetal stamping exp. as it relates to tooling\nOverview\nThe Tooling Engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to tool the Company's products.\nResponsibilities\nImprove overall processes and related issues including process development\nSchedule and create process documentation\nProblem solving and program management\nDesign, installation, and debug of tooling and capital equipment\nObtain tooling quotes and coordinate sourcing, build and try-out\nDevelop and troubleshoot stamping processes\nSpecify forming and stamping equipment\nProvide engineering resources for other departments as required\nFollow quality systems procedures as required\nDesign and develop manufacturing tooling and fixtures\nProvide tool construction personnel with sketches and instructions\nInvestigate and analyse tooling, processing, assembly and sequencing issues\nInitiate corrective actions to include the modification of plant tooling and machine programming\nWork closely with product and process teams to design, install, and launch robust processes including process 'sign off' activities and production pilots\nParticipate in problem resolution teams\nDevelop specifications and analyse supplier quotations for purchase of new production equipment up to and including entire manufacturing lines\nDaily troubleshooting of assembly and press shop problems to support production\nLiaison with R&D to ensure manufacturability of components prior to release\nContact person for ECN (Engineering Change Notice) implementation\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nKnowledge/Experience:\nCAD experience required\ni.e.: AutoCAD, Pro E, Solid Works\nJourneyman Tool and Die experience a plus\nDie Design experience a plus\nKnowledge of design applications- stamping and molding\nKnowledge of equipment and systems appropriate to related discipline\nKnowledge of engineering principles and procedures\nSkills and Abilities:\nSkill in applying engineering principles and procedures\nSkill in engineering design applications\nAbility to effectively communicate\nThe desire to strive for both personal and operational excellence through a never-ending drive for continuous improvement\nCommitted to achieving world-class performance standards\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field OR 8 years of equivalent experience\nAny equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay: $80,000.00 -
