HPP Material Handler/Forklift Operator (3rd Shift - 10pm to 6:30am)

This position will operate in our cold storage warehouse. We will provide the necessary gear for the cold conditions.
3rd Shift - 10pm to 6:30am, Mon-Fri (Must be open to working overtime and weekends)

Position Purpose:
The Material Handler provides support for HPP by moving product from Warehouse and HPP production areas.
Major tasks, responsibilities, and key accountabilities:
Utilize a manual pallet jack to load, unload, move, stack, stage and count product and materials
Use a forklift to load, unload, move, stack, stage and count product and materials
Performing inventory counts for accuracy and discrepancies
Shipping and receiving duties as assigned
Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving and put-a-way
Safe and efficient operation of the vehicle
Perform order filler and checker duties
Maintain equipment and perform pre-operation checks according to policy
Following health, safety, and cleanliness standards
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
6 months MHE/forklift experience preferred
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems
Refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to perform basic mental math
Ability to communicate in English (speak, read, and write)
Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions
This job operates in wet and cold environment located within a manufacturing facility. The average temperature is 32 degrees.
This position requires the ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours shifts and perform repetitive bending, twisting and lifting. It requires the ability to lift 45 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs. rarely.
Hourly Employees: Universal Pure facilities may process, pack, and store products containing allergenic food ingredients as referenced by FDA, team members who may come in direct contact, must be able to work with these ingredients.
