The ideal candidate is someone who naturally makes people feel welcome, enjoys talking with customers, and brings a positive attitude to every interaction. Prior bartending or restaurant experience is a plus, but personality, work ethic, and the ability to take care of people are just as important to us.\n\nOur bar serves beer and wine only, so extensive cocktail or mixology experience is not required. This position is much more about providing great hospitality, building relationships with our customers, and keeping up in a busy restaurant environment.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nOur restaurant can be busy and fast-paced, so this position requires someone who can stay organized, friendly, and composed under pressure. Because the bar is a new addition to our business, flexibility will be especially important. The role will continue to evolve as we learn what works best, and we want someone who is willing to jump in, solve problems, and help us develop the bar into an important part of Weekends.\n\nThe right person should be:\n\n* Genuinely friendly, welcoming, and comfortable talking with all types of people\n* Able to provide excellent hospitality even during busy or stressful shifts\n* Dependable and willing to take ownership of their responsibilities\n* Comfortable working independently and taking initiative\n* Organized, clean, and attentive to detail\n* Flexible and willing to adapt as the position and bar program develop\n* Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment\n* A team player who is willing to help wherever needed\n* Experienced in bartending, serving, or hospitality preferred, but not required for the right candidate\n\nResponsibilities\n\n* Provide friendly, attentive service to bar guests\n* Serve beer and wine accurately and efficiently\n* Learn our beer and wine offerings and confidently help customers with selections\n* Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout the shift\n* Handle customer transactions and operate the POS system\n* Monitor inventory and communicate product and supply needs\n* Follow responsible alcohol-service practices and applicable TABC requirements\n* Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking duties\n* Work closely with our front-of-house and kitchen teams to provide a great overall guest experience\n* Help us develop procedures, systems, and standards as our new bar program grows\n\nOpportunity for Growth\n\nThis is a brand-new position at Weekends, which creates a unique opportunity for the right person.\n\nWe aren't simply looking for someone to work behind the bar. We are looking for someone who can eventually take ownership of the bar and become a leader within this part of our business.\n\nSomeone who proves dependable, takes initiative, builds relationships with our customers, and helps us improve the operation will have tremendous potential to grow alongside the bar concept.\n\nHours & Full-Time Opportunity\n\nThis position may initially be primarily focused on bar shifts.
