This includes appropriate cleaning and disinfecting of the interior and exterior of the vehicle; appropriate cleaning and disinfecting of equipment; inspecting; restocking and completing daily checklists of the vehicle and equipment; and performing some routine maintenance.\nEnsures security of buildings, vehicles, equipment, medications and all other company property.\nPerforms daily inspections of their base and/or station for cleanliness. Then performs the appropriate housekeeping duties to ensure their living quarters are clean, free from clutter and sanitary at all times.\nMaintains appropriate communications with company dispatch, medical control and other agencies via radio, data link, pager or cell phone as required.\nBe knowledgeable as to local geography to include location of hospitals, public venues as well as local streets and highway systems.\nResponds to hospitals, nursing homes and other locations to provide courier and medical transportation services.\nProvides safe passenger movement from/to wheelchair/stretcher at home, hospitals, nursing homes, airports and other facilities.\nProvides passenger safety monitoring, enroute to the hospital and during transportation to, from and/or between facilities.\nProvides passenger monitoring per state law, adhering to company, local, regional, and state guidelines.\nAppropriately and safely delivers the passenger to the appropriate medical facility.\nActs at all times in the best interests of high-quality passenger care, in the best interest of the passenger, and in such a manner to reflect credibly on the company and the professional reputation of the Driver.\nActs at all times with his/her personal safety in mind, as well as the safety of his/her partner, the passenger, other personnel, bystanders, and any other public safety personnel present.\nAccompanies passenger to their destination, continuing to provide appropriate monitoring and passenger advocacy until the responsibility for the passenger has been transferred to an appropriate medical professional and a report has been given.\nCompletes and signs all appropriate documentation for every response and transport.\nObtains complete medical histories and billing information for all passengers and/or cargo transported.\nMaintains security and privacy of all company and passenger information at all times in accordance HIPPA and all other local, state and federal regulations.\nAdheres to Universal Precautions/Body Substance Isolation when dealing with passenger contacts. Is familiar with and practices the Infection Control policies and procedures of company.\nAccepts responsibility for recertification in CPR and First Aid and for other required licenses and certifications as required by company, local, regional, and state policies, regulations or laws.\nReports to assigned shifts on time, properly groomed in uniform and on time unless the proper notification has been made. Remains on-duty and in proper uniform until properly relieved.\nAt all times sets an example of professionalism and leadership for others to follow.
