This role is responsible for payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, reporting, garnishments, workers’ compensation reporting, HR/payroll data management, and supporting payroll-related projects and process improvements.The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-volume payroll operations across multiple FEINs and locations while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and labor regulations. Experience supporting construction, field services, or project-based labor environments is strongly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesManage payroll processing across multiple FEINs, states, and locationsEnsure accurate payroll reporting, tax compliance, and general ledger reportingSupport month-end payroll and labor cost reportingProcess payroll corrections and job cost adjustments as neededManage garnishments, workers’ compensation reporting, and regulatory filingsTrain and support field personnel on payroll/timekeeping processes and proceduresResolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional mannerReview payroll data for accuracy and compliance with company policies and labor regulationsAssist with payroll audits and reporting requestsIdentify process improvement opportunities and implement audit controlsMaintain compliance with FLSA, DOL, and applicable payroll regulationsSupport payroll system administration and related software platformsCollaborate cross-functionally with accounting, HR, and field operations teamsQualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred8+ years of payroll experience in high-volume, multi-state environmentsStrong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, labor laws, and compliance requirementsExperience with payroll/timekeeping systems and reporting platformsAdvanced Excel and strong overall computer skillsExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience supporting construction, field operations, or project-based labor environments strongly preferredProfessional demeanor with strong internal customer service skillsPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting and computer workOccasional lifting up to 40 lbs.Ability to bend, crouch, or stand as neededCompany information will be provided to qualified applicants during the initial interview process.
