Job Title: Heavy Equipment OperatorLocation: Peachtree City, GA 30269Duration: 5+ Months (With potential extension)Shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (M – F)Job DescriptionHigh school education or equivalent preferred.Effective written and oral communications, listening skills, ability to organize and retrieve information, and display adaptability.Ability to work in a team and network with different functions.Preferred or Desired QualificationsPrevious experience in Mining and Heavy Equipment Operations.Drilling and Blasting experience helpful.Good reasoning/mechanical aptitude.Familiarity with safety programs in a Mining environment. Must be self-motivated, and able to make independent, informed, and prioritized decisions.Must be able to work in both individual and team industrial work settings with minimal supervision.Maintaining strict confidentiality in all matters is paramount to this position due to the nature of employee information exposure.Physical/Mental RequirementsAbility to work an average of 40 hours per week.Speak clearly so others understand.Vision acuity to see details within a few feet of an observer.Accepting of criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations.Sensitivity to others' needs, positive demeanor, and model change management for the business.The employee frequently is required to walk.The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Environmental ConditionsManufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas.Plant environment is not climate controlled.Manufacturing processes involve granules, sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene.Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site.Experience within construction is preferred.ResponsibilitiesIn complete alignment with the Company's Vision, Mission Statement, and Values, and under the direction of the Mine Manager, this position supports the Western Mining Team Miner/Equipment Operator. This position will support many areas of the mines' everyday needs.This position will include manual labor and heavy equipment operation such as Haul Truck, Front End Loader, and Excavator.Follows all company and MSHA safety policies, procedures, and programs; responsible for individual safety and the safety of others in Heavy Equipment Operations.Haul Truck, Front End Loader, and Excavator operation. Drill and blast.General manual labor tasks related to mining activities.Provide support related to Fuel and Lubrication activities.Maintains work area in a professional manner.Provide assistance to other team members as needed.Performs other related duties that contribute to the success of the business and operation as assigned.
