Explore our culture.\n\nPosition Summary\nThe Operator I, Mail Finishing – 3rd Shift is responsible for individual activities related to cutting and folding direct mail pieces, joining within and complying with Bolingbrook operational processes and procedures.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nOperate and set up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines.\n\nOperate and set up traditional cutters and folders in bindery.\n\nEnter data into ERP and monitor overall performance, efficiency, and quality.\n\nPerform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.\n\nSample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.\n\nTroubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.\n\nReplenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.\n\nMaintain production, efficiency and quality records related to the finishing/bindery operation.\n\nSupport the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, understanding work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned by management.\n\nSkills, Experience and Qualifications\n\nEffective process management skills.\n\nMechanical skills.\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\n\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence.\n\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\n\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\n\nStrong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task.\n\nAptitude for accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail.\n\nAbility to work independently.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNot responsible for supervising other employees.\n\nWork Environment\nIndoor, temperature controlled, production facility.\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nStand for at least 8 hours/day.\n\nLift up to 50 pounds.\n\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required for specific job functions.\n\nSecurity Clearance\nAmsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.\n\nOther Duties\nThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities.
