Since 1992, we’ve delivered high-quality, cost-effective solutions to clients across California, built on a foundation of trust, safety, and operational excellence.Position: Construction SuperintendentLocation: Burbank, CA (with travel to project sites)Reports to: Director of Construction DivisionPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Construction Superintendent with experience in multi-site commercial construction to oversee day-to-day field operations. This individual will ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and in alignment with Maintco’s quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, field knowledge, and the ability to coordinate trades and teams effectively. This role is responsible for full field execution, including schedule management, subcontractor coordination, inspections, and quality control across multiple job sites.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise on-site construction activities and manage field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.Oversee all phases of C-store/retail remodels and ground-up projects: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, concrete, and finishes.Ensure compliance with project plans, local codes, safety regulations, and Maintco’s quality standards.Maintain daily reports, conduct site meetings, and update schedules and progress tracking, including 2-3 week lookaheads.Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and subcontractor work sequencing.Communicate regularly with project managers and clients to ensure alignment on scope, timeline, and deliverables, including managing RFIs, submittals, and field-driven change orders.Enforce site safety protocols and proactively identify and address potential hazards.Resolve field issues quickly and effectively to minimize project delays or cost impacts.Mentor and manage subcontractors and laborers to promote teamwork, accountability, and high performance.Qualifications5+ years of experience as a lead superintendent managing commercial projects, preferably in fast-paced, multi-site environments (C-store, retail, restaurant, or fuel station environments).Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects and subcontractor teams across various sites.Strong working knowledge of construction plans, specifications, and local building codes.Proficiency in construction scheduling, reporting, and communication tools (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, etc.).OSHA 30 certification preferred.Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.Willingness to travel between job sites and work extended hours as needed.Preferred TraitsDetail-oriented and safety-focused.Ability to troubleshoot and adapt to field challenges in real-time.Customer service mindset—acts as a field ambassador for Maintco.Strong time management and multitasking abilities.Capable of mentoring field staff and reinforcing Maintco’s culture of accountability.Why Join Maintco?Be part of a growing company with a focus on high-impact, multi-site commercial projects.Collaborate with a supportive, driven, and safety-conscious team.Competitive salary, bonus potential, and benefits package.
