Estimator (Junior–Mid Level) – Construction / Mechanical Elgin, IL (On-site) $80,000–$85,000 DOEWe are hiring an Estimator to join a growing mechanical contractor in Elgin, IL. This is a great opportunity for someone with construction or trade experience who wants to grow into a more advanced estimating role over time. You will work closely with a Senior Estimator and gain hands-on exposure to bidding, takeoffs, and project planning.What You’ll DoPrepare quantity takeoffs and assist with estimates for piping, plumbing, and HVAC projectsReview blueprints and construction drawings to support accurate biddingPartner with a Senior Estimator to develop project bidsAttend pre-bid meetings, bid openings, and occasional site visitsMaintain estimating databases and vendor pricingSupport ongoing improvements in estimating processes and accuracyWhat We’re Looking ForExperience in construction, trades, or estimatingAbility to read and interpret blueprints/drawingsExperience with material and labor takeoffsStrong attention to detail and organizationInterest in growing into a long-term estimating careerMechanical, plumbing, piping, or HVAC exposure is a plus (not required)Why This RoleClear growth path into a senior estimating roleHands-on mentorship with experienced leadershipStable, growing company with consistent project pipelineCompetitive pay based on experience
