This includes researching, architecting, installing, networking, programming, maintaining, administrating, operating, and monitoring all storage related hardware and software associated with storage for the enterprise. May also supervise installation and configuration.\nResponsible for customer/user interfacing, storage allocations, day-to-day operations, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution as it relates to the storage environment.\nAdditional responsibilities include understanding Z/OS internals, SAS/MICS.MXG, Thruput Manager and Work Load Analyzer\nCollaborate with various stakeholder groups and team members to design and validate storage solutions that meet DTCC standards for security, resiliency, and reusability\nLead immediate support for production issues related to areas of expertise\nAuthor system documentation and supporting documents to ensure transparency of design to minimize future maintenance costs\nDeliver targeted business outcomes by participating in the technical decision-making process\nAnalyze changing business requirements to determine impact and optimal solution regarding defining the future state technical architecture\nFollow established DTCC requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for the enterprise (best practices)\nApplies knowledge of technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to contribute to the decision-making process\nMonitor metrics to ensure system performance meets requirements\nDirect and facilitates the research, evaluation, and selection of software/hardware technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations.\nMitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum of 8 years of related experience\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience\nStrong knowledge of z/OS internals, software, and hardware architecture, including strong problem diagnosis skills.\nStrong understanding of many of the following storage hardware technologies: EMC Symmetrix (including its replication features), EMC, Brocade DCX, IBM TS7700.\nStrong understanding of many of the following storage software technologies: DFSMS (including SMS ACS code and constructs), DFSMSdss, DFSMShsm, CA-1, CR Plus, IBM utilities\nKnowledge of the following would be a plus: SQL, Assembler, COBOL, DTS Software ACC and SRS products, RACF\nREXX/SAS/MICS/MXG programming skills\nKnowledge of Performance tools Mainview\nSoftware installs SMP/E\nExcellent project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple responsible groups and request processes in parallel, so that complex projects can move ahead expeditiously.\nStrong familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.\nServes as a trusted coach or mentor within the organization.\nCommunicates openly keeping everyone across the organization informed.\nMUST HAVE:\nPrincipal Z/OS Storage Engineer/Systems Programmer\nz/OS internals, software, and hardware architecture\nStorage hardware technologies: EMC Symmetrix (including its replication features), EMC, Brocade DCX, IBM TS7700.\nStorage software technologies: DFSMS (including SMS ACS code and constructs), DFSMSdss, DFSMShsm, CA-1, CR Plus, IBM utilities\nREXX/SAS/MICS/MXG programming skills\nPerformance tools Mainview\nSoftware installs SMP/E\nNICE TO HAVE:\nKnowledge of the following would be a plus: SQL, Assembler, COBOL, DTS Software ACC and SRS products, RACF\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION:\nPay and Benefits:\nCompetitive compensation, including base pay and annual incentive\nComprehensive health and life insurance and well-being benefits, based on location\nRetirement benefits\nPaid Time Off and other leave of absence\nFlexible/Hybrid Work Arrangements -
