The ideal candidate will have direct experience working on mining and mining related projects.\nCandidates without a strong background in environmental investigations, remediation, CERCLA, will not be considered.\nThe ideal candidate has a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee technically rigorous work, and serve as a trusted advisor to public- and private-sector clients. This individual will play a key role in expanding EA's CERCLA, mining and remediation practices and presence within the Central and Western United States.\nResponsibilities\nProvide technical leadership and project management for environmental investigations, remedial designs, and construction projects under CERCLA frameworks\nLead environmental efforts including:\nSoil and groundwater remediation\nEnvironmental investigations including field efforts\nPotentially responsible party (PRP) oversight\nApply extensive knowledge of CERCLA regulations and best practices\nOversee and mentor multidisciplinary project teams while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards\nPromote and model a strong safety culture across all project activities\nPrepare, review, and deliver high-quality technical reports and regulatory submittals\nSupport negotiation, dispute resolution, and agency coordination on complex environmental projects\nIdentify and pursue new business opportunities, including preparation of technical proposals and scopes of work\nBuild, maintain, and expand long-term client relationships that generate repeat business\nCollaborate with professionals across EA offices to support client needs and strategic initiatives\n\nWho This Role Is For\nYou'll likely be a great fit for this role if you have experience in one or more of the following areas:\nSpent a significant portion of your career working on CERCLA-regulated sites\nLed or managed environmental investigations, remedial actions, or construction-phase remediation\nWorked in environmental consulting, regulatory compliance, or remediation program delivery\nSupported projects at Superfund sites\nWorked on Department of Defense (DoD) environmental sites\nExperience with mining or mining-related environmental projects\nThis Role May Not Be the Best Fit If Your Background Is Primarily In:\nGeneral civil, structural, or facilities engineering\nConstruction management without environmental remediation oversight\nProject management outside of environmental consulting or remediation\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience, in one of the following:\nEnvironmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering\nGeology or Geological Engineering\nEnvironmental Science or a closely related field\nDemonstrated, hands-on experience with CERCLA projects is required\nExperience managing large, complex environmental remediation projects from investigation through implementation\nStrong client-facing skills, including business development and proposal support\nProven ability to maintain long-term client relationships\nAbility to travel 1–2 times per month, with trips typically lasting 1–3 days\nNote: This position requires specific driving duties.
