You will be responsible for the maintenance, performance tuning, and security of both legacy and emerging production/development databases, ensuring high availability and strict compliance with federal information assurance standards. The locations will be within the National Capital Region (NCR).Key ResponsibilitiesProvide DBA and maintenance support for Oracle and Microsoft SQL database management systems and applications.Perform proactive performance tuning, routine maintenance, scheduled backups, archiving, and system upgrades.Conduct patch testing and validation in development environments prior to production rollout.Maintain accurate, detailed library documentation of system and database configurations.Support backend database development and collaborate with developers on full-stack initiatives.Assist in database activities required to achieve and maintain Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of direct experience administering Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases.Must hold relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert).Proficient in SQL, T-SQL, TOAD, and Visual Studio.Important NoticeThis role is part of a proposal for the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy (Management) - Information Technology Division - DUSN (M) ITD.
