Registered Medical Assistant (FM)
Medical Assistant RoleThe Medical Assistant is responsible for providing direct or indirect care to patients who present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems; utilizes knowledge of basic Medical Assistant principals, practices and ethics; participates in the organization and management of the physician's practice.
ResponsibilitiesAssist physician in setting up for procedures and exams, revising daily schedules; obtaining charts and charge tickets, locating lab tests and X-ray reports
Ensure that patient chart/EMR entries are made accurately and in a timely manner
Contact pharmacy to order new and refill prescriptions; notify patient; document appropriately
Notify hospital or personnel of physician's orders
Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED
12 to 18 months related experience and/or training
RMA certification
