Oversee responses to customer order and quotation requests for all levels of accounts received via outside salespeople, telephone, e-mail, and written and faxed correspondence. May directly or indirectly support outside sales.\n\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities\nFacilitate the sales process through project management, tracking open sales orders, issue resolution, and overall customer service and support.\nProspect for new sales opportunities via outbound calling and emailing.\nProvide product pricing by consulting the pricing matrix, as well as other complex tables, to determine the appropriate price. Develop code directives for certain products while maintaining target margin goals.\nProcure and maintain inventory; monitors to ensure proper inventory turns.\nEnsure timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.\nWork at the sales counter to serve in-store customers as assigned. Contributes to add-on sales by maintaining a high level of product knowledge.\nHandle customer inquiries and problem resolution when an outside salesperson is not available.\nPerform estimating, take-off, and proposal duties as necessary.\nMay be asked to assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking all incoming materials.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nMinimum 2 to 5 years of experience selling in an inside sales environment and demonstrated success working with customers.\nExperience with inventory sales.\nAssociate degree preferred.\nStrong computer skills desired.\nForklift Certification Preferred\n\nThis information indicates the general nature and level of work performed by associates in this role.
