This includes monitoring resident needs, condition and care; administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician; orders and receives medications from the pharmacy; admits and discharges residents; oversees TMA/NAR/RCA staff; ensures narcotic policy and procedures are followed; reports changes of condition to RN/Supervisor and physician as delegated; monitors for side effects of medication and reports prn; ensures resident care plans are being followed. Follows and upholds Resident Bill of Rights and facility policies and procedures; maintains confidentiality and follows HIPAA requirements, etc. Provides excellent customer service and communication to all residents/families/visitors/MD's/coworkers, etc.Qualifications for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)LPN licensure with the MN Board of NursingCurrent CPR certificationAbility to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations.Desire to work with the elderly.Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.
