The program provides FSR support of communications for the Government primarily for operability and sustainment of the Tactical and Strategic antenna system such as the Deployable Ku Earth Terminal (DKET), Mobile DKET, Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR)/Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) Access Point (SNAP), United States Marine Corps (USMC) Support Wide Area Network (SWAN) and Commercialization efforts, Micro Very Small Aperture Terminal (mVSAT), VSAT, Inflatable Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Terminal (ISA) CJNCC NETOPS Multinational Information Sharing (MNIS) Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS), Coalition Partner Network-X (CPN-X); and Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF)-OIR AO-wide Network, but are not limited to only these terminals and support.\nOSP/ISP Construction Technical Support personnel perform a wide range of activities and are responsible for planning and preparation of drawings for new and existing overhead or underground lines, cables, and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities.\nResponsibilities\nCandidate must be prepared to live and work in the country of Bahrain.\nMust be willing and able to work up to 60 hours per week.\nMust be willing and able to work all shifts, including nights and weekends.\nPlan and prepare drawings for new overhead or underground lines, cables, and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities.\nPlan and prepare drawing for the removal or rearrangement of existing overhead or underground lines, cables, and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities.\nAnalyze traffic loads, available and existing lines, and estimates or forecasts of projected traffic to determine new lines or rearrangement/removal of lines, as required.\nInstall pits and ducts (conduit and manholes) for installation and maintenance of fiber optic cable distribution infrastructure, to include “in-hole” cable racks and identification tags.\nInstall cable into the Cable Plant Infrastructure, to include the installation into buildings and manholes.\nInstall, terminate, test, and repair Category 5e (CAT5E) cable infrastructure into buildings, to include patch panels and cables, racks and cabinets, raceways/cable ladders, and termination jacks (keystones).\nPlot and track cabling plans in accordance with associated CDRL.\nParticipate in daily and weekly workplace meetings, as required.\nAbide by all corporate, Government, and local labor laws and regulations.\nApply performance standards and quality control standards as directed by Standard Operating Procedures.\nAbide by all safety and security rules and regulations.\nPerform other duties related to the job position.\nThis position requires:\nUS Citizenship\nUS DOD Secret Clearance\nA valid current US Passport\nRequired Certifications\nBICSI or similar certification\nMust maintain active certification throughout employment.\nAdditional Requirements:\nAssociate’s degree in Scientific Technical Discipline.\nMinimum seven (7) years of professional work experience installing outside and interior copper and fiber cabling, fiber optic modems, fiber multiplex equipment, fiber patch panels, analog and digital copper patch panels, main and intermediate distribution frames, lightning protection, and supporting ground and power connections.\nMust possess seven (7) years are work experience installing cable ladder and rack systems, cable cabinets, and equipment components in the cabinets.\nMinimum two (2) years of experience in a military environment.\nIn lieu of a degree, must possess eleven (11) years of related specialized work experience.\nKnowledge and experience with phone installation.\nTechnical documentation skills are required.\nEffective interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.\nPrior to deployment to the Worksite, candidate must complete all pre-deployment responsibilities, such as providing required documentation;
