This role will work across a TypeScript/React front end, NestJS/Node.js back end, and MySQL databases, with responsibilities spanning requirements, implementation, verification, and deployment.\n\nBecause the platform supports clinical workflows and patient data, this role requires a strong focus on accuracy, data integrity, traceability, security, and documentation. The GentleCloud™ Developer Developer will work closely with cross-functional teammembers to ensure software changes are appropriately specified, tested, documented, and released in accordance with our IEC 62304-aligned development practices.\n\n*What You Will Do*\n\n* Software Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack features using TypeScript, React, NestJS/Node.js, and MySQL, following established coding, testing, and code review practices.\n* Database Integrity: Develop and maintain SQL queries and database functionality supporting clinical and approval workflows, with a strong focus on data integrity, auditability, security, and appropriate handling of patient data.\n* Cloud Infrastructure Development & Deployment: Develop and support applications within the AWS environment, including EC2, S3, RDS (MySQL), CloudFront, SES, and IAM; assist with deployments and troubleshoot issues across development and production environments.\n* Quality & Documentation: Create and maintain engineering documentation associated with software changes, including requirements, design documentation, verification records, and risk documentation, in accordance with IEC 62304-aligned development practices.\n* Release Management: Follow established software development and release processes, including feature branching, code review, semantic versioning, tagged releases, and controlled promotion from development through production.\n* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with clinical, technical, and other stakeholders to understand workflow needs, define requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and translate business and clinical needs into safe, well-defined software solutions.\n\n*What You Will Bring*\n\n* 3–6 years of professional software development experience.\n* Strong professional experience with TypeScript across both front-end and back-end development.\n* Hands-on experience with React, including hooks, component design, and client-side routing; familiarity with modern build tools such as Vite and testing frameworks such as Vitest or Jest.\n* Experience developing back-end applications with Node.js; experience with NestJS preferred, or comparable experience with frameworks such as Express or Fastify with the ability to ramp up quickly on NestJS.\n* Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably MySQL, including basic schema design, query development, and performance considerations.\n* Experience with an ORM such as TypeORM is preferred.\n* Working experience with core AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM.\n* Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts, including JWT, session-based authentication, and role-based access controls.\n* Strong understanding of secure software development and appropriate handling of sensitive patient data.\n* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability and willingness to clearly document technical work and decisions.\n\n*Preferred Qualifications*\n\n* Experience working in a healthcare, clinical, medical device, regulated, or other quality-sensitive software environment, including familiarity with standards or frameworks such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971, or HIPAA.\n* Experience with C#/.NET and WPF desktop application development.\n* Experience with Linux, nginx, scripted deployments, application log analysis, PDF generation, reporting pipelines, or transactional email services such as Amazon SES.\n\n*Additional Details*\n\n* Employment Type: Regular, full-time\n* Salary Type: Salary, exempt\n* Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000\n* Schedule: Day shift\n* Work Location: Remote with occasional US-based travel\n\n*Why Join Our Team?*\n\nAt SkinCure Oncology, your work has purpose.
