Job description:The Data Center Facilities Project Manager plans, directs, and supervises all operations and projects. Manages and leads the overall operations team, including all technical, administrative, financial, and client satisfaction areas using consistent processes.This position oversees cross-functional programs that ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of data center facilities they provide supervision and administrative leadership for facilities and programs during all hours of operation and oversee daily operations management of multiple spaces to ensure a safe and functional environment in order to contribute to the missions of the agencies that occupy the facilities.Pay Range: Up to $180,000 per yearExperience: The successful Facilities Data Center Project Manager shall possess 10 years of recent experience in building mechanics and preventative maintenance in mission critical facilities and knowledge of systems related to:ElevatorsUninterruptible Power Supply (UPS);large chiller plants;low pressure boilers;computerized fire alarm systems;emergency generators;high voltage switchgear;Building Automation Systems;HVAC systemsEssential Job Functions:Manage the day to day operations of the facilities under contractEnsuring project Safety/SecurityManage the preventative and reactive maintenance programs for all facilities utilizing CMMS systemsAssists in developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityDevelop detailed plans to track special projectsLead multi-disciplinary programs to improve facility performance, capacity planning, and operational readiness.Manage long-term infrastructure roadmaps, including budgeting, forecasting, and lifecycle planning.Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, and compliance teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.Establish program budgets, track expenditures, implement cost-control measures, and ensure financial accountability across all facility initiatives.Develop and track KPIs for facility reliability, energy eƯiciency, and operational excellence.Oversee vendor performance, contract compliance, and service-level expectations.Ensure alignment with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.Facilitate risk assessments, root-cause analyses, and corrective action programs.Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costsMeasure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and, techniquesReport and escalate to management as neededManage the relationship with the client and all stakeholdersPerform risk management to minimize project risksEstablish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendorsEnsure contract complianceFollowing established and/or developing methods and standardsRecruitment/Staffing/Management/Employee Relations/Supervision of employeesTask train all contract employees on proper, safe, efficient, effective use/handling of all tools, equipment, methods, chemicals, devices, apparel, procedures, processes.Plan, organize and supervise maintenance and repairs performed by building staff. Responsible for maintaining and improving buildingsResponsible for buildings quality control. Inspects facilities and work areas to eliminate deficienciesContinually evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance procedures and programs and makes changes to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness.Review employees work hours to verify accuracy and approves payrollJob Experience Requirements:The Facilities Operations Manager shall possess at a minimum at 10 years of recent experience in the management and supervision of building mechanical maintenance operations for large commercial or industrial type buildings.Minimum of 5 years of experience in Tier 3 Data Centers requiresExperience in multi-building campusesExperience in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Experience directing or supervising mechanical operations and maintenance in buildings.Required Skills:Current/ Active Top Secret ClearanceProject Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferredStrong program management skillsExceptional communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to write and deliver reportsStrong organizational skillsAbility to multi-taskAbility to effectively present information and respond to questionsProficiency in using Microsoft Office and Google applicationsAbility to organize and prioritize job duties and assignmentsAbility to work in a team environment and be a leaderAbility to work independentlyAbility to effectively utilize available resources to maximize productivityPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
