Additionally, this position is responsible for new part and assembly board development, engineering change orders, and regular maintenance of part data within the ERP and PLM systems.\nResponsibilities\n· Develop and maintain Bill-Of-Materials (BOM’s) and manufacturing work instructions for new and existing products.\n· Develop cost estimates for new products by reviewing customer prints and specifications.\n· Recommend cost saving alternatives on existing wire harness and battery cables through the use of component equivalents and commonly used cost effective material.\n· Produce and evaluate alternative wire harness design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance based on knowledge of electrical engineering applications.\n· Review and evaluate electrical schematics to ensure accuracy of wire harness designs.\n· Expedite and/or fabricate the creation of prototype wire harness and battery cable assemblies.
