Senior Vaccine Customer Representative - Newport News, VA
Job DescriptionThe Vaccine Customer Representative (VCR) supports customers by providing clinical information on the Company’s vaccines, as wellas education and resources to help customers meet operational and financial needs such as reimbursement information and contract adherence. The VCR is the primary point of contact for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, quality directors, immunization managers, and office managers across clinics, health departments, integrated delivery systems, and hospitals within their assigned geography.ResponsibilitiesEngage customers in balanced product sales presentations aligned with product labeling, CDC and professional society recommendations.Provide company vaccine management with updates on customer needs regarding patient outcomes, feedback, marketplace dynamics, and progress toward quality goals.Supply customers with key insights through ongoing study and review of scientific, product and marketplace information, workshops and conferences.Use analytical tools to conduct quarterly business reviews on contract performance and educate customers on maximizing contract performance across the portfolio.Assist customers with education to improve immunization rates through quality‑based programs and tools such as Vaccine IQ.Monitor business performance against objectives using company tools.Develop a territory‑level business plan focused on immunization rates in line with Company policies and ethics.Maintain product knowledge, certification on the entire vaccine portfolio, and knowledge of the CDC immunization schedule for pediatric and adult vaccines.Act as primary contact for select accounts, meeting with key personnel to understand practice structure, business model, and patient needs.Identify business opportunities and coordinate with the customer team to outline strategy for improving immunization rates.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree with at least 3 (36 months) years of sales experience, or high school diploma with at least 6 years of equivalent experience in professional sales, marketing, military or healthcare/scientific field not sales related.Demonstrated ability to build trust with customers and to sell products/solutions focused on health outcomes.Strong ability to segment customer population, allocate resources, and execute commercial plans.Strong ability to understand customer business climate, assess market potential, identify opportunities and risks, and develop territory plans.Strong ability to understand account interdependencies and maximize account performance through collaborative planning.Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts accurately and clearly.High level of tenacity to achieve measurable results, overcome setbacks, and pursue learning opportunities.Innovative mindset utilizing new or existing technologies.Data‑driven approach to analyze trends and drive business results.Valid driver’s license.Preferred Skills / ExperienceAccount planning, adaptability, business opportunities, business reviews, customer education, customer feedback management, customer strategy, healthcare service, health improvement, health outcomes.Hospital sales, interpersonal relationships, lead generation, managed care, market analysis, sales calls, sales metrics, sales operations, sales pipeline management, sales presentations, sales process management, sales territory management, vaccine management.LocationThe territory covers Newport News, VA and surrounding areas including Suffolk, Hampton, Yorktown, and Williamsburg. Eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
